Build AI systems that perform useful work inside a US partner company's products. Own retrieval, tool use, evaluation, and the production failures that need engineering judgment.
What You Will Do
- Build model-driven workflows with explicit tool permissions and recoverable failures.
- Create evaluation datasets, regression checks, and traces over intermediate steps.
- Improve retrieval and context assembly using evidence from real user tasks.
- Operate deployed systems with attention to latency, inference cost, and data access.
What We Look for
- Production software experience with ownership beyond an initial prototype.
- An LLM system shipped to real users and a clear account of how it failed.
- Strong Python or TypeScript and practical experience evaluating model outputs.
- Clear English communication and availability during agreed US core hours.
Nice to Have
- Durable execution or workflow orchestration experience.
- Experience building retrieval systems with access controls and source attribution.
- Experience testing prompt injection defenses and handling sensitive data.
